Haiti eliminated, Morocco final awaits — two days to go
Haiti's World Cup campaign is over mathematically, but the final chapter has yet to be written. Two days before the Group C closer against Morocco at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta (Wednesday, June 24, 18:00 ET), the *Grenadiers* head into their last match of the tournament having been eliminated after defeats to Scotland (0-1, Boston, June 13) and Brazil (0-3, Philadelphia, June 19).
The Brazil loss was the sharper lesson. Coach Sébastien Migné's side held the *Seleção* to a scoreless opening twenty minutes with a compact, high-pressing structure, but a high defensive line then handed Matheus Cunha — scoring twice — and Vinicius Jr. the space to run at will. All three goals arrived before halftime. In the second half, Wilson Isidor drew a fine save from Alisson, and Dominique Simon tested the Liverpool goalkeeper from distance in stoppage time — isolated bright moments that pointed to what the squad can become.
Against Morocco, who enter Matchday 3 with four points and a knockout-round berth already secured, Haiti will play without the weight of elimination anxiety. For Migné and the 26-man squad, the objective is clear: finish a historic campaign with a competitive performance, honour the supporters in Atlanta, and send a signal to the next generation of Haitian footballers.
Scotland lead Group C on 3 points. Brazil and Morocco hold 4 points each ahead of their simultaneous final-matchday fixture.
