Haiti braces for Morocco finale, already eliminated but pride at stake
Les Grenadiers close out their 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign on Wednesday, June 24, when they face Morocco at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta (6 p.m. ET, FS1). The match is Group C's final pair of simultaneous fixtures — Scotland meets Brazil in Miami at the same hour. Haiti enter the game already eliminated, having lost 0-1 to Scotland in Boston on June 13 (John McGinn 28') and 0-3 to Brazil in Philadelphia on June 19 (Matheus Cunha 23', 36'; Vinicius Junior 45+').
Against Scotland, Ruben Providence came closest for Haiti, whipping a low shot that Angus Gunn could not hold, sparking a penalty-box scramble. Against Brazil, a well-organised, compact side frustrated the Seleção for twenty minutes before Cunha deflected a clearance into an empty net. Frantzdy Pierrot and Wilson Isidor led Haiti's attacking intent across both matches; Isidor drew a fine late save from Alisson in the Brazil game.
Morocco arrive in Atlanta with six points and their sights on topping the group. For coach Sébastien Migné and captain Johny Placide (38), Wednesday represents the last opportunity to give Haiti's diaspora — and the nation watching from afar — a moment to cherish from this historic return.
