Arcus extends at Angers as Isidor seals permanent Sunderland deal

Two Grenadiers made contract news this cycle, giving today's brief a transfer-desk flavour.

Carlens Arcus leads. The 30-year-old right-back has signed a contract extension with Angers SCO, confirmed by Yahoo Sports alongside the club's announcement of departures for veterans Pierrick Capelle and Abdoulaye Bamba. The renewal keeps Arcus — Angers' most important Haitian asset and one of the squad's senior presences in Ligue 2 — at the club heading into the 2026-27 campaign. His Transfermarkt valuation stands at €1.80m, the highest among Haiti's defensive corps.

Wilson Isidor is the secondary story. Sunderland have confirmed that the striker's loan from Zenit St Petersburg has been made permanent (Yahoo Sports). The 25-year-old centre-forward, valued at €18m, had a strong loan spell and the Black Cats moved to tie him down ahead of their Championship season. His market value makes him the squad's most expensive asset by a considerable margin.

Elsewhere, Lenny Joseph at Ferencváros continues to attract Ligue 1 interest after a 16-goal, 10-assist season across all competitions, per L'Équipe. No transfer has materialised, but the watch is live.

"Angers SCO have confirmed that full-back Carlens Arcus has extended his contract — the club's clearest statement of intent heading into 2026-27."

Manno Sanon, the goal that silenced Italy

Haiti's only World Cup. Sanon beat Dino Zoff and ended 1,142 minutes of Italian invincibility — still the standard the Grenadiers chase.
