Lenny Joseph's Ferencváros into CL final qualifying; Arcus extension confirmed

Lenny Joseph leads today's brief as Ferencváros advance into the final round of Champions League qualifying, with the Hungarian champions' next fixture scheduled for 9 July 2026 (Sofascore, Flashscore). The 25-year-old centre-forward — valued at €2.0 m on Transfermarkt — is in line to feature in what would be among the highest-profile matches of his club career to date.

On the defensive side, Carlens Arcus has secured his immediate future: the 30-year-old right-back has signed a one-season extension with Angers SCO, keeping him at the club through June 2027 (Yahoo Sports). Arcus was also booked in a recent Ligue 1 fixture against Nantes.

Elsewhere in the squad, Sofascore lists Carl-Fred Sainthe's El Paso Locomotive as playing today (5 July, 02:30 UTC) in USL Championship action — worth monitoring for a result later in the cycle. Jean-Kévin Duverne's La Gantoise played on 4 July in pre-season or early-competition action per Sofascore. Leverton Pierre (FC Vizela) remains sidelined with a grade-2 adductor injury that also caused him to miss national-team duty.

Manno Sanon, the goal that silenced Italy

Haiti's only World Cup. Sanon beat Dino Zoff and ended 1,142 minutes of Italian invincibility — still the standard the Grenadiers chase.
