Arcus extends Angers deal to 2027; Isidor exit saga continues at Sunderland
Carlens Arcus leads today's brief after Angers SCO confirmed the Haitian right-back has extended his contract by one season, keeping him at the club through June 2027. Arcus, 29, joined from Vitesse Arnhem in the summer of 2024 and was due to become a free agent at the end of the current campaign. The extension was announced alongside departures of veterans Pierrick Capelle and Abdoulaye Bamba, signalling a generational shift at the Ligue 2 side. Angers have also named Stéphane Gilli as their new manager — replacing Alexandre Dujeux — giving Arcus a new technical setup to adapt to heading into pre-season.
The other significant ongoing story is Wilson Isidor's future at Sunderland. The forward, who bagged 12 goals for the newly promoted Premier League side, has signalled his desire to leave this summer and the club is not expected to block a departure, per Yahoo Sports. Former Sunderland defender Darren Williams, speaking to BBC Radio Newcastle, acknowledged the situation without dismissing it, noting that transfer rumours around key players are difficult to predict.
Martin Expérience is a free agent as of 1 July 2026, with Transfermarkt recording his AS Nancy contract as expired — his next destination remains open.
