Lenny Joseph scores in Europa League as Isidor eyes Sunderland exit
Lenny Joseph is the clear story of this cycle. The Ferencváros forward started in the club's UEFA Europa League qualifying second-leg victory over Vojvodina on July 16, scoring one goal and registering four shots in a 3-0 win. That result followed a 2-1 first-leg win on July 9 — a tie in which Joseph came off the bench and contributed two shots. Ferencváros advance in Europe, and Joseph, contracted until June 2028, is building early-season form at the right moment.
Elsewhere, Wilson Isidor's situation at Sunderland is the second significant story. According to the Sun (cited by Yahoo Sports), the 25-year-old forward wants to leave the Black Cats this summer and the club are not expected to block a departure. Isidor scored 12 goals and added two assists across 43 appearances as Sunderland won Premier League promotion, but has not started a league match since December.
On the status front: Johny Placide has been without a club since July 1, 2026 (Transfermarkt), his contract with SC Bastia having expired. Martin Expérience is similarly listed as without a club since July 1. Ricardo Adé started both of LDU Quito's recent LigaPro defeats — 1-0 losses on July 15 and July 18 — picking up a yellow card in the July 18 fixture (ESPN). Carlens Arcus has extended his contract at Angers SCO through June 2027, per Yahoo Sports.
