Isidor seeks Sunderland exit; Placide & Expérience both without clubs

Wilson Isidor is the lead story of this cycle. The 25-year-old forward was central to Sunderland's Premier League promotion last season — 12 goals and two assists in 43 appearances — but has not started a league game for the Black Cats since December. According to the Sun, Isidor wants to leave this summer and Sunderland are not expected to stand in his way. With the Premier League season approaching, finding a new club quickly is essential if he wants regular minutes heading into the post-World Cup club year.

Two defenders are also without clubs. Johny Placide (GK, listed in squad as SC Bastia) became a free agent on 1 July 2026 after leaving Bastia, per Transfermarkt — a significant moment for Haiti's most-capped goalkeeper (84 caps) at 38. Martin Expérience similarly left AS Nancy on 1 July 2026 and is without a club, per Transfermarkt.

Bright note: Lenny Joseph started and scored for Ferencváros in their UEFA Europa League qualifying second-leg win (3-0 v Vojvodina, 16 July), having also appeared in the first leg. The Hungarian champion is progressing in Europe.

Ricardo Adé's LDU Quito have lost back-to-back LigaPro matches (0-1 v UCA, 15 July; 0-1 at home, 18 July), a dip in form for the Ecuadorian side.

Jean-Kévin Duverne is listed in the Ligue 2 transfer table as a loan return to La Gantoise (L'Équipe / Footmercato), suggesting his club situation entering 2026-27 is being clarified.

Manno Sanon, the goal that silenced Italy

Haiti's only World Cup. Sanon beat Dino Zoff and ended 1,142 minutes of Italian invincibility — still the standard the Grenadiers chase.
