Lenny Joseph nets brace vs FC Twente; Nazon & Placide without clubs

Lenny Joseph is the clear lead today after a standout Europa League qualifying performance. The Ferencváros forward started and scored twice against FC Twente on 23 July, contributing to a 2-1 first-leg win — adding to his goal in the previous round's 3-0 victory over Vojvodina. He now has three goals across two Europa League qualifying ties this summer. That form is attracting outside attention: Belgian outlet Sacha Tavolieri reports Genk as one of several clubs monitoring the 25-year-old, with Ferencváros's reputation as a selling club potentially smoothing any exit.

Two other squad members have notable status changes. Duckens Nazon, Haiti's all-time top scorer (44 international goals), is without a club after departing Esteghlal on 20 July 2026 per Transfermarkt. Johny Placide, 38, has also been unattached since leaving SC Bastia on 1 July.

Elsewhere, Ricardo Adé started LDU Quito's 1-0 win over Barcelona SC on 26 July in LigaPro Ecuador, his third straight start. Danley Jean-Jacques started Philadelphia Union's 1-0 MLS win over Seattle on 25 July, his second consecutive league start since the World Cup. Jean-Kévin Duverne's loan at La Gantoise ended 30 June per Transfermarkt, with the centre-back's status for 2026-27 unresolved. Dominique Simon's loan at Tatran Prešov also ended 30 June; Transfermarkt now lists him at parent club FK Pardubice.

"Genk are one of a number of sides hoping to sign Ferencváros' French striker Lenny Joseph." — Sacha Tavolieri

Manno Sanon, the goal that silenced Italy

Haiti's only World Cup. Sanon beat Dino Zoff and ended 1,142 minutes of Italian invincibility — still the standard the Grenadiers chase.
