Isidor transfer saga intensifies as West Ham push £20m bid for Sunderland striker

Wilson Isidor dominates today's cycle. Sunderland have made clear they are reluctant to sell, but West Ham United's pursuit of the 25-year-old Haitian striker has intensified, with the Hammers reportedly willing to meet Sunderland's £20 million valuation, according to The Daily Mail and Sky Sports. During Sunderland's pre-season tour of the United States, Isidor publicly stated his ambition to improve on last season's six-goal tally — a careful non-committal that has done nothing to cool speculation. BBC Radio Newcastle's Nick Barnes has noted that a drop to the Championship would not appeal to the forward, reinforcing the sense that a Premier League move is the only realistic destination. Sunderland, promoted to the top flight last season, are understandably reluctant to part with their most marketable attacker ahead of the new campaign.

Elsewhere in the squad: Danley Jean-Jacques continued his excellent run at Philadelphia Union, starting in a 3-2 MLS win over Atlanta on 1 August, recording two shots in the process. Ricardo Adé started for LDU Quito in a 2-1 LigaPro win over Deportivo El Nacional on 3 August, picking up a yellow card. Lenny Joseph's European campaign continues with Ferencváros — he scored twice in the Europa League qualifying first leg at FC Twente on 23 July (W 2-1), building on his goal in the second leg against Vojvodina.

Martin Expérience is now officially without a club after leaving AS Nancy on 1 July 2026 per Transfermarkt, a development worth monitoring as the European windows narrow.

Manno Sanon, the goal that silenced Italy

Haiti's only World Cup. Sanon beat Dino Zoff and ended 1,142 minutes of Italian invincibility — still the standard the Grenadiers chase.
