Isidor stays at Sunderland; Lenny Joseph leads Ferencváros in Europe

Wilson Isidor remains the headline name for the Grenadiers this cycle. Sunderland have firmly shut the door on any departure for the 25-year-old striker, rebuffing West Ham United's interest despite reported willingness from the Hammers to meet a £20 million valuation. Sky Sports and The Daily Mail both confirm the Black Cats' position: Isidor is not for sale. His form justifies the stance — three goals in six Premier League appearances underline his value to Sunderland's top-flight campaign.

Lenny Joseph is the other standout. Ferencváros's forward has been a consistent presence in the Hungarian club's UEFA Europa League qualifying run, logging 403 minutes across six appearances this season with four goals recorded in the current campaign per Flashscore. ESPN logs show he started and scored twice in the 2-1 win over TWE on 23 July in the first leg of UEFA EL qualifying, and added a goal in the 3-0 second-leg win over Vojvodina on 16 July.

Elsewhere, Hannes Delcroix started FC Lugano's UEFA Conference League qualifying first-leg win over NSIR (2-0) on 6 August, registering four shots and one on target per ESPN. Ricardo Adé started as LDU Quito lost 2-0 to IDV on 7 August in LigaPro Ecuador. Danley Jean-Jacques started Philadelphia Union's 1-0 Leagues Cup defeat to CAZ on 6 August. Yassin Fortuné's Vizela face União de Leiria in Liga Portugal 2 today (9 August). Duckens Nazon is without a club after leaving Esteghlal on 20 July 2026.

"Sunderland have made their position crystal clear — Wilson Isidor will not be sold this summer despite attracting interest from several clubs, particularly West Ham." — Sky Sports

Manno Sanon, the goal that silenced Italy

Haiti's only World Cup. Sanon beat Dino Zoff and ended 1,142 minutes of Italian invincibility — still the standard the Grenadiers chase.
