Isidor stays at Sunderland as West Ham bid rejected; Nazon a free agent
Wilson Isidor leads today's brief. Sunderland have made their position unambiguous: the 25-year-old striker will not be sold this summer despite reported interest from West Ham, with Sky Sports confirming the club's stance. Isidor finished the 2025/26 Premier League season with six goals in 32 appearances — a return that has made him integral to Sunderland's plans as a top-flight club.
The other significant status change concerns Duckens Nazon, Haiti's all-time leading scorer (44 international goals in 79 caps). Transfermarkt records him as without a club since 20 July 2026, having departed Esteghlal FC at the end of his contract. At 32, Nazon enters the transfer window as a free agent — a notable development for the squad's most decorated forward.
Two further roster notes: Johny Placide is also a free agent, having left SC Bastia after the 2025/26 Ligue 2 season. And Transfermarkt's transfer log shows Jean-Kévin Duverne returned from his loan at KAA Gent to parent club Nantes on 30 June 2026 — his situation at Nantes for the coming season remains to be resolved at club level.
Lenny Joseph (Ferencváros) is active: ESPN logs two goals in the Europa League qualifying first leg win over TWE on 23 July, and one goal in the second leg, as Ferencváros advanced 4-3 on aggregate.
