Isidor stays at Sunderland; Duverne moves to Omonia; Joseph fires in Europa

Wilson Isidor leads today's brief after Sunderland emphatically shut the door on West Ham's summer interest. According to Sky Sports, the 25-year-old Haitian forward will remain at the Stadium of Light for at least another season, with the Black Cats making clear he is not for sale. Isidor scored six goals in his last Premier League campaign and used Sunderland's pre-season tour of the United States to signal his ambition to improve that tally. A Yahoo Sports feature this week framed him as a potential European wildcard for the club if they secure continental football.

Elsewhere, Jean-Kévin Duverne has completed a move to Omonia Nicosia, joining the Cypriot top-flight club on an agreement running to May 2028 — departing KAA Gent after his loan spell there. The squad list reflects his canonical club (La Gantoise), but Transfermarkt confirms the Nicosia deal dated 11 August 2026.

Lenny Joseph continues to shine for Ferencváros in UEFA Europa League qualifying: two goals at FC Twente on 23 July (W 2–1), one in the second leg (D 2–2, Ferencváros advance 4–3 on aggregate), and a start in the next round against Gordur (W 1–0) on 5 August. Carlens Arcus has extended his Angers SCO contract through June 2027 after starting 25 of 27 matches last season (three assists) before an adductor injury.

"Isidor wasn't for sale this summer – good news for all involved. Isidor will be a Sunderland player for at least another season."

Manno Sanon, the goal that silenced Italy

Haiti's only World Cup. Sanon beat Dino Zoff and ended 1,142 minutes of Italian invincibility — still the standard the Grenadiers chase.
