Duverne lands at Omonia; Isidor West Ham links intensify; Casimir opens at Auxerre

Jean-Kévin Duverne leads today's brief after completing a transfer to Omonia Nicosia on 11 August 2026, departing Nantes following the expiry of his loan from Gent. Flashscore records him ranked first in squad value at his new Cypriot club, and his Transfermarkt profile shows the move confirmed. The right-back, capped 19 times for Haiti, heads into the UEFA Europa Conference League qualifying phase with Omonia.

Wilson Isidor commands the next significant thread. The Sunderland forward is attracting serious Premier League interest, with West Ham United reportedly lodging a bid and Hull City also linked — though Sunderland are understood to be reluctant sellers, per West Ham Zone and Yahoo Sports coverage. Isidor, who scored against Brentford on his Premier League debut last August, enters a pivotal week for his future.

In Ligue 1, Josué Casimir started the new season under fire: AJ Auxerre were beaten 5-2 by Lens on 22 August, with Casimir featuring. The winger joined Auxerre in June on a free from Le Havre and is contracted until 2028.

Wilguens Paugain started both of Zulte Waregem's opening Belgian Pro League fixtures — a 2-1 win over Genk and a 0-0 draw at Union Saint-Gilloise — as the freshly promoted club makes its top-flight return. Today is also Paugain's 25th birthday.

Hannes Delcroix has scored one assist in two Super League appearances for FC Lugano this season (rating 8.3, per Flashscore), with Lugano facing Maccabi Tel Aviv in UEFA competition on 27 August.

"Speculation has surrounded Wilson Isidor's future at Sunderland" — Yahoo Sports, as West Ham United's reported bid puts the Haitian forward at the centre of August's transfer window.

Manno Sanon, the goal that silenced Italy

Haiti's only World Cup. Sanon beat Dino Zoff and ended 1,142 minutes of Italian invincibility — still the standard the Grenadiers chase.
