Leverton Pierre leaves Vizela for Académica Coimbra; Duverne, Expérience move clubs

Three Grenadiers have moved clubs this summer, with the most recent move confirmed this week. Leverton Pierre (MF) departed FC Vizela and joined Académica Coimbra on 8 September 2026, remaining in the Liga Portugal 2. The 28-year-old defensive midfielder racked up 11 appearances for Vizela in 2025-26 before the switch; his contract at Coimbra is open-ended per Transfermarkt. Teammate Yassin Fortuné remains at Vizela, keeping a Haitian presence in the Portuguese second tier.

Two other transfer stories from the summer window bear noting. Jean-Kévin Duverne, canonically listed at La Gantoise, had in fact joined Omonia Nicosia on 11 August 2026 after his loan at KAA Gent expired on 30 June — multiple sources confirm the move. Martin Expérience departed AS Nancy as a free agent, signing for FCV Dender (Belgium) on 12 August 2026, per Flashscore and Sofascore.

Elsewhere, Hannes Delcroix posted an 8.2 Sofascore rating in FC Lugano's win over Servette in the Swiss Super League — his strongest display of the young campaign. Danley Jean-Jacques started Philadelphia Union's 5-0 demolition of Cincinnati on 9 September, contributing an assist, as the Union string together back-to-back wins.

"He is a versatile player in the midfield and has proven himself in a top league — a quick, physical player who fits our style of play." — Philadelphia Union sporting director Ernst Tanner on Danley Jean-Jacques

Manno Sanon, the goal that silenced Italy

Haiti's only World Cup. Sanon beat Dino Zoff and ended 1,142 minutes of Italian invincibility — still the standard the Grenadiers chase.
