Hannes Delcroix hat-trick headlines Lugano's Swiss Super League charge

Hannes Delcroix is the undisputed lead of today's brief. The FC Lugano centre-back scored a stunning hat-trick — three goals between the 35th minute and full time — to underpin the Swiss leaders' commanding form in the Super League. Livescore reports that Lugano are currently averaging three goals per game and that head coach Croci-Torti's side hold a sizeable cushion at the top of the table. The international window provides Lugano a pause before they host mid-table FC Luzern at the AIL Arena on 10 October. Delcroix, who started both of Haiti's CONCACAF Nations League wins last week (a 3-2 victory over Trinidad & Tobago on 24 September and a 4-1 rout of the Dominican Republic on 1 October, per ESPN), is carrying that form directly back to club football.

Elsewhere in the squad: Josué Casimir has left AJ Auxerre on a season-long loan to Dynamo Moscow in the Russian top flight, with an option to make the deal permanent, confirmed by both Yahoo Sports and Le Nouvelliste (10 September). Don Deedson Louicius has departed FC Dallas for Ligue 2 side FC Sochaux-Montbéliard, per MLSSoccer.com. Jean-Kévin Duverne has moved on from his La Gantoise loan spell, signing a two-year deal with Omonia Nicosia, per L'Équipe. Keeto Thermoncy is no longer at Young Boys II; he joined Stade Nyonnais in Switzerland's second tier in July 2026, per Sofascore and Le Nouvelliste.

"Delcroix stole the spotlight by scoring three times between the 35th and the final whistle as Lugano maintained their commanding lead at the top of the Swiss Super League." — Livescore

Manno Sanon, the goal that silenced Italy

Haiti's only World Cup. Sanon beat Dino Zoff and ended 1,142 minutes of Italian invincibility — still the standard the Grenadiers chase.
