Lenny Joseph announces return from injury as Lugano's Delcroix eyes Europa test
Ferencváros striker Lenny Joseph is the lead story today: Le Nouvelliste reported on 23 October that the 25-year-old has announced his return to fitness following the muscle injury he sustained on 30 August against Akademia in the Hungarian Nemzeti Bajnokság I. Joseph had been absent from both club and national-team duty since that date, meaning Haiti were without their most dangerous forward through the October CONCACAF Nations League window.
That window produced a mixed outcome for Les Grenadiers. Haiti won 4-1 in Santo Domingo against the Dominican Republic on 1 October — a dominant performance that extended their Nations League group-stage unbeaten run — before falling 2-0 to Costa Rica in San José three days later, their first defeat of the campaign. The results leave Haiti's quarterfinal place contingent on their final group fixture.
At club level, Hannes Delcroix and FC Lugano were scheduled to face Getafe in the UEFA Conference League on 22 October, with Sofascore confirming the fixture. The Swiss side have been one of the competition's eye-catching participants after Delcroix's earlier hat-trick in their 4-0 rout of Lausanne. Jean-Ricner Bellegarde came off the bench for Wolverhampton in a 1-1 Championship draw with Portsmouth on 20 October, picking up a yellow card; he had started the 2-1 win at Burnley on 16 October.
