Isidor back in training for Sunderland; Haiti face USA on Nov 14 in Nations League
Wilson Isidor is the lead story today. Sunderland head coach Régis Le Bris has confirmed the Haitian striker is back in training and expected to be available for the Championship trip to Coventry City, ending a brief spell on the sidelines. "Wilson should be available," Le Bris told reporters. It is a timely return for the Black Cats, who are without Ballard and Mundle. Isidor had arrived at the international break in fine form — he scored a brace for Haiti and earned two man-of-the-match awards during the September window.
On the national team front, Haiti sit second in CONCACAF Nations League Group A with nine points from four matches, one behind leaders Curaçao. The next fixture is a high-stakes clash away to the United States on Saturday, 14 November. The Grenadiers' group-stage run included a 4-1 win over the Dominican Republic (2 Oct) and a 2-0 victory over Costa Rica (27 Sep), before losing 2-0 to Costa Rica in a later fixture (4 Oct).
Elsewhere in the squad: Derrick Etienne Jr. came off the bench as Toronto FC lost 3-1 at Atlanta on 1 November, with his MLS season winding down. Lenny Joseph's Ferencváros hosted Paksi FC on 1 November in the Hungarian top flight; the 26-year-old has four appearances in NB I this season. Ricardo Adé started as LDU Quito lost 2-1 to Macará on 24 October in LigaPro, with the Ecuadorian champions still active in the title race.
