Isidor back in Sunderland training; Delcroix's Lugano form catches the eye

Wilson Isidor is the headline act this Monday. Sunderland head coach Régis Le Bris confirmed that the Haitian forward has returned to training and is expected to be available for the Black Cats' Championship trip to Coventry City on Saturday — welcome news after a spell on the sidelines. The 26-year-old, who signed a new contract through 2030 in the summer, has scored 19 goals in 83 Sunderland appearances since arriving on loan from Zenit St Petersburg in August 2024 before making the move permanent in February 2025.

The strongest club-form note comes from Switzerland: Hannes Delcroix has been outstanding for FC Lugano this season, carrying an 8.0 Sofascore rating across eight Swiss Super League appearances with three goals, and he started Lugano's 3-2 UEFA Conference League win over RSB on 15 October.

Derrick Etienne Jr. came off the bench for Toronto FC on Sunday, November 1, as the club fell 3-1 at Atlanta United in MLS — a routine late-season cameo for the veteran forward.

On the transfer front: Dominique Simon has moved from Tatran Prešov to Hatta Club in the UAE Pro League (joined 29 September), while Leverton Pierre is now at Académica Coimbra in Liga Portugal 2 after leaving FC Vizela in September.

"There is still a lot more to achieve here." — Wilson Isidor, on signing his Sunderland contract extension to 2030 (BBC Sport)

Manno Sanon, the goal that silenced Italy

Haiti's only World Cup. Sanon beat Dino Zoff and ended 1,142 minutes of Italian invincibility — still the standard the Grenadiers chase.
